Please HELP with directions around Los Angeles

Hi this will be my first time in America. Im going on the Radiance cruise on the 23rd Sept. I will be in san diego the day before and would like to know the best way to get to the San Pedro port in Los Angeles. I will probably be travelling on greyhound to long beach blvd or like 1716 E 7th Street, whichever one is closer.And then would like to know how to get to the pier. I know this is very vague but i would really appretiate some help. Thanks

It is only vague when you are lost and don't ask directions.

San Diego Freeway (405) north to the Harbor Freeway. (110), then north on the Harbor Freeway to San Pedro. Here is a quick link to the San Pedro Port:

Both are about the same distance from the pier (which is in San Pedro)...about 8.4 miles either way...
The question is what sort of transportation will you have from the Greyhound Bus Terminal to the pier?

If you have a car (someone meeting you?), then you go West on 7th to Alamitos, turn Left and the right on Ocean -- across Terminal Island, then across the Vincent Thomas Bridge, off at Harbor Blvd., follow the signs...

Or, from Long Beach Blvd.: Go South on Long Beach Blvd., turn right on Ocean, the rest is the same...

If you don't have a car...call for a taxi...it shouldn't be nmuch money for the 8 mile trip to the pier...
