Poor Simon.......

Has a vet appt Tuesday morning for his booster shots. Poor baby gets so scared when I put him in the carrier. But, he is healthy and fat and sassy, so keeping him that way is imperative. However, why did I make the appt for 9AM? Half hour drive in rush hour traffic in the middle of the night! (for me that is, I am a night owl and don't get up early unless I have to.)

I know someone else who REFUSES to go into a kennel, crate or ANY enclosure. He happens to be asleep at my feet...

Well, we are back, and all in the same day as my Mom would say. He was NOT happy! In fact, since we got home he will have nothing to do wiht me. Even hissed at me when I walked by. Funny little baby. He is healthy and finished with the vet for a year now.

I told the vet that I was confused about his point color. He is gray (blue in cat talk) on the face, ears and tail, and a pewter color on the tops of his paws, which should make him a blue lynx point. But, his pads and hind legs are a chocolate brown, which should be seal point. Colors don't finalize until they are grown.

The vet said well he wasn't pure bred anyway because his head was too round. He said siamese have pointy heads. Now, for a couple years we bred "applehead" or traditional siamese which have the round heads and not those very pointy ones. I know a siames when I see one, and apparently the vet doesn't.

I have been checking siamese websites, and I am still confused. I have seen some that look just like him called seal lynx. Whatever it is, he is still pretty!

Simon has you well-trained. Topaz would make it very clear when she was angry at me, but Pucci can't stay mad long. I'm sure Simon will warm up to you by the end of the day (or Pucci will have a long-distance talk with him!).

Glad he's healthy.

Mary Ann, healthy and FAT. Not quite 5 months old, and he weighs 6 1/2 pounds! Now, 12 pounds is about the heaviest a male gets. I think he is trying to catch up with Max and Scoots, who are 12#s plus each.
