I prefer to take excursions set up by the cruise line and will be going on the Mariner of the Seas on 12/12/04. We are going to Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Marteen's. Can any of you suggest some of the ship's excursions at these places?

Have any of you been to Coral World in St. Thomas?

Have any of you been to St. John's?

Which of the three places has the prettiest beaches in your opinion and which beach is it?

I have been on the Atlantis Submarine out of St. Thomas and it was nice, but not something I would really want to do again. Any input here on your experiences would be extremely helpful.

Also of the three which has better shopping in your opinion?

Thank you all!

IMHO St. John is awesome and somewhat off the beaten path. I loved Megans Bay in St Thomas. Blue Lagoon Island in Nassau is grerat too.

Happy Cruising,

I love St. John. White powder beach, not too much hurly burly. A beautiful spot.

I'd have to say St. Thomas has the lock on shopping in the Caribbean. It's not so much that the prices and selection are better as there is just so much shopping available. The Havensight Mall right across the street from where most of the ships dock has branches of many of the downtown stores. So even if you don't feel like walking much or taking a cab, you can shop a lot.
