I wouldnt wait too long...I remember getting there about 30 min prior and the line was all the way to the "shopping tunnel" at the end of the pier.  That was before the hurricane, I would try to be back early to avoid the long line, especially if you plan on drinking anything, long time to wait for a bathroom.
