Is it better to make port tour reservations ahead of time (on line) or wait till on board?

When there is a shore excursion we know FOR SURE we want, we go ahead and book on line. Celebrity will e-mail you back with a confirmation. Never had any problem doing this with Celebrity.

and shud the tour get cancelled for whatever reason. (port missed etc.) credit goes back to your card the same day...or it did for us anyways.
