I don't know much about the Miami area, but I can say one thing.. Last year in Orlando My wife and I were scheduled to leave at like 5:30 pm or something like that and we got back to the airport after the cruise at like 10:30 am We just went to the counter for AA and they were able to get us on an earlier flight, without any penalty! Doesn't hurt to ask. So if you find you don't really want to try and hassle with luggage storage, you can always try that!Rembrant
