Prayer needed - Passing of our Pastor

I never thought I would be posting a thread here. On Friday, October 9th, the pastor of my church was in a car wreck outside of Waco. At 5:20 CDT, he died from his injuries. This was a wonderful man, husband and pastor.

What makes this more tragic, he and his wife just adopted a brother and sister in Taiwan. They were to fly out next week to pick up the children and bring them back to Texas.

I am asking for your prayers not just for me, but for our church family, his family and the community.

my sympathies to you and your congregation. I know the difficulties of losing a beloved pastor whom the congregation could relate to and embraced. Just remember god only calls on those he is ready to recieve.....

Here is an UPDATE -- The Sunday morning service was as expected, sad & still in shock. Evan, the youngest child (15), spoke to the church on how to heal. This 15 year old's words were touching and remarkable. His dad has raised a wonderful young man. Evan bought many to tears when he said that he was wearing his dad's dress shirt that he wore last Sunday.

I pray that my son and I, can have this close of a relationship. My son is 8. I try to give him all the attention he wants. Also, I am doing the same for my daughter.

As for the adoption of the 2 children in Taiwan, this has been placed on hold.
