Prayer request update for Elliott

Doing an unusal midday update on my lunch. Elliott spiked a 104.7 fever last night and they did not go to bed until 4am. Doctor is pretty sure it is due to the cells trying to grow and start their job. And then today they discovered Elliott has gallstones. I had them and have no gallbladder because of it. They are quite painful. When will this little boy get a break? It is tearing me up to hear all the suffering. Dad says he is wiped out and just has no energy left. It is very important that we get him to start to eat and drink a little now. These next couple days will be some of the roughest I am afraid. So just wanted some midday prayers to speed this part along so he can have a somewhat nice birthday on Monday. I will post more tonight if I have anything.

pray every day for that kid, and will continue to do so

it's good to hear that perhaps this is a result of cell growth

let's keep on praying

Grow, cells, GROW!

At least they think this is from cell growth. Continued wishes for a positive outcome. I keep thinking about the little gal from my scout troop yrs ago that had a bone marrow transplant--it was really tough & go for quite a while with so many ups & downs & wks turned into months but she is now a very healthy young woman. Can't imagine the stress that everyone is going thru right now--my best for the entire family.

That makes the pain that I went to the doctor about this morning, very insignificant! You are all in my prayers.

Poor guy sure has had a rough road. Prayers that this will all be put behind him, and be blessed with many, many healthy years ahead of him.

Here is Cindy's update tonight...

This evenings update. Dad says that Elliott has NO energy at all. I am so sad for my little boy. What a way to spend your teen years. They took him to radiology today and did testing on some of his major organs. Don’t know if it is routine or not. This whole experience has been very emotionally draining for all of us and there are days, like the last few that I am not sure I can take much more. I cannot imagine what my son is thinking. He does not even have the energy or desire to talk on the phone to anybody, including me. I am working on not taking that personally but I miss him so.

For those of you who have asked, Dan’s little toe is broken but I am guessing it is not so bad now as he has stopped complaining about it. Really not much that can be done for that.

One good piece of news.As of midnight, I am officially on the bone marrow donor list. Hope I get a call someday to help.

We got the check from the Jewel fundraiser today. Please do not take this the wrong way but I had such high hopes that it would be a good size check that would get us through one or two months of bills. And with the new year almost here, I will have a ton of medical expenses that I must find the money to pay. It was only $300. Since we passed out 1500 coupons and only 74 were turned in, you can understand my disappointment. But $300 is better than nothing and to those of you who used them, THANK YOU!

We have a cookie fundraiser at school. My cousin is donating the cookies. Thank you my friend Terri. Glad you are part of my family. Well, got a busy weekend and then Monday off to see my boys. Dad will get a couple days break before coming back. I am hoping I am making a trip soon to bring a tv and such because that will mean they are in the Kohl house. And if whomever dropped off the gifts for Elliott today is reading this, God Bless..a Cubs hat, a Mario game and a DS system. No card or clue but there was some love in that gift.

Unfortunately, it will be a long rough road until he's at the point where he is healthy and hearty. But he'll get there, and it will be a joyous thing.

Cindy, and Dan, I can only imagine how tough this is for you guys. And when you think you can't go any further, think of E healthy and know you can keep going. Take it one day at a time, Cindy. You can do it, with prayers and help along the way.

I think of the 3 of you many times each day. Every time I am about to "moan and groan" about some insignificant thing or have an ache or pain, I think of the 3 of you and your courage. Prayers continue...Cindy, if it is only Dan's TOE that is broken, put a piece of gauze or cotton between that toe and the toe next to it and tape the 2 toes together and tell him to wear hard sole shoes. Only thing you can do for a broken toe...=hug

One sometimes wonders why some people have to suffer so much. Not just Elliott but all involved.

My prayers sure do continue :angel

Sometimes it's hard to understand the suffering that people , especially kids, have to go through but we can at least think positive thoughts and say a prayer for him. :wave
