Prayers for a Friend, please?

Sorry to add to the long list here.

A very good friend of mine was in a horrible auto accident this morning. He was stopped at a red light and was rear-ended by a larger car estimated to be going 45mph at impact. His car is totaled. He has broken ribs, bruises - and will be sore for quite awhile. It could have turned out much worse, but I would appreciate your prayers and good thoughts for an uneventful recovery. His wife phoned me shortly after they returned home.

Oh gees, he is sooo lucky it's only his car that is totaled. His ribs will heal, and yup, he'll be sore for awhile, but he is so lucky. I hope that other person is paying for in one way or another. Prayers he has an easy recovery. I hear puppy kisses help... :loveya

So sorry for your friend's accident but he is fortunate it wasn't much worse. I'm sure the broken ribs will cause him discomfort for quite a while. Wishing him the best in his recovery.

Thank you for your prayers. I agree completely - this could have been so much worse. Thank God he can be home now, and not in a mortuary instead.

All the best to your friend. As others have mentioned, I am relieved it is not worse. Yet, I know he still has a recuperation ahead, for which I send good wishes.

I will add your friend to my prayer list as well Mary Ann.

What a horrible shock to be plowed into from the back. What in the world was the other driving doing!?!?

Thank you for your kind words. Again, they are so very much appreciated. It's been difficult to concentrate on work today, but I've been pushing myself.

Gramma Ann - how is Oscar feeling? I sincerely hope he is recuperating nicely.

Prayers and good wishes from here for a speedy recovery. Tell him (from an ER nurse) to be sure and cough and deep breath several times an hour while awake even tho it hurts with the rib injury because he sure doesn't want to end up with pneumonia.

Connie and Sue - thank you. Sue, my friend happens to be a physician, but you know that old saying about who makes the worst patients. Thank you for the advice. He's feeling better today than he anticipated and his wife is having a hard time getting him to SIT, STAY. We're good enough friends that I could bark at him too.

Please start barking at him and have Pucci help. Doctors make terrible patients! Prayers are headed his way, both for him AND his wife!
