My sister called me this morning with sad news.
While we were on our cruise, her husband's 74 year old aunt was discovered to have stage 4 inoperable colon cancer (she had been in remission for 20 years). She began chemo, but it was so difficult for her she decided not to continue with it. Yesterday she suffered more complications, and her doctor instructed the family to gather at 6am this morning. She was given drugs to keep her heart rate up so she could say goodbye, and was removed from the drugs at 2pm this afternoon.
Her passing was expected after several hours, but her heart rate remains up, and though she is ready to go into her eternal rest, she's not having an easy time of it.
There is no chance for recovery, so all I ask is for prayers to assist her in going Home without suffering.
