Prayers for Angela

My good friend Angela enters the hospital today for a month stay. Today she has hip replacement surgery. They replaced the other hip about 4 months ago, and her leg turned out 1 inch longer then before, so she's been limping a lot which has caused her a lot of pain. Now it's time for the other hip to be replaced, and the hope is for this one to be 1 inch longer, so she can walk without a limp.

She'll have two weeks of PT, and then move into oncology.

In oncology she'll have two weeks of intensive chemo. Her labs a few weeks ago showed some numbers the doctors aren't happy with, so... This will be her 5th bout of chemo fighting her terminal brain cancer.

Prayers for my friend, please.

I'm certainly grateful that in spite of her prognosis of being 'terminal' the system allowed Angela to have her hip taken care of. It's a quality of life issue, and God knows we need our life to be as good as possible under these times of duress. I'll be curious to see how my doctors will deal with any further issues that pop up in my life from here on out.

Hang in there Glorya, you are certainly a good friend indeed.

Hugs, Mariposa

Thanks guys. The surgery was at 7:30 this morning, and I am on pins and needles waiting for that phone call... sigh...
