Prayers Needed

Well it's midnight and I am sitting here because I can't sleep. Tomorrow morning I have to see the oncologist and make arrangements to have a lymph gland removed from my armpit to be evaluated for cancer. Two years ago I had ovarian cancer so this is concerning that I have a hard fixed lymph gland in my armpit.

If you read this and have a moment will you say a prayer that this turns out to be not serious.

thanks

Meg

I certainly understand your fear & not being able to sleep because of worry is something that happens with us all too often. Positive thoughts coming your way that this can be done soon (waiting is sooo hard) & that you will receive good results. Keep us updated.
Good luck.

AW MEG, Hang in there girlfriend. today when I head off to chemo I'll be thinking about you the whole time. I know this next week will seem like an eternity till you get the lab reports back. I had one lump removed a couple years ago that turned out to be benign, so keep the faith baby. It just might be a glitch ya know. OK< time to practice stress reduction, big time. If it feels good, do it!!! Have a Ben and Jerry's for me and try to get as much of your holiday decorating done as possible cuz that is bound to cheer you up. I'm putting out every single decoration that I own and it looks gorgeous around here, sure helps lift my spirit.

Hugs and many prayers, Mariposa

Thanks everyone!

Here's the update: I saw the doctor who did a breast exam and she seemed to feel that it is not a lymph node at all but some other mass could be felt. She sent me for an immediate mammogram and the radiologist came out to tell me that the lymph nodes and the breasts were completely clear so I went back over to the doctor who is sending me for a CT scan on December 11 to try to find out what this mass truly is.

After I got home my primary doc called and wants me to go in to see him tomorrow so it will be another day at the hospital (my least favorite place in the world by now). I am going to get all my refills and have some blood work done too.

Apparently whatever is this has all my doctors freaked out so I am going to just have to hang in there until they figure it all out.

Thanks so much for all your messages - they mean so much to me.

Kathy - I think about you and your dh every day. Waiting and not knowing is the worst.

Mariposa - I bet your house looks great! I love Christmas decorations and am hoping to really do the house up this week.

Maw - =hug I hope someday to pull a chair up next to you and have a long visit.

Mary Ann - :wave Thanks so much for your friendship!

Corky - :wave You have been very kind to me and I truly appreciate it.

Korina - Hang in there - I hope better days are ahead for you.

Beryl - Did I read that you were heading to Hawaii? I am so happy for you!

Texas Sue, Deborah, Mgram, Globug, Liz, Jan and anyone I may have missed - Thank you all so much.

Meg

Sorry I am late in the good wishes. Hospitals have been our second home too and although you would rather be home, they do serve a purpose. Keep good thoughts and know you have a lot of support.
