Prayers Please

I posted several weeks ago about my friend with the severely pre-term triplets. They are really struggling right now, as are mom and dad. Two of the babies have possible retinopathy, and may require surgery to try to prevent blindess. The other is having trouble absorbing calcium, and they are fearful for his bone development.

My friend told me today that if she had known all of this, she would have only had them implant one embryo. I know she doesn't really mean that, but it broke my heart to hear her say it. She cries often, and I can not imagine her agony.

Please remember them all in your prayers. Heaven knows they need the strength for the road ahead.

I am heartsick for your friend. She must be so afraid and so weary. She and her wee babies will be in my prayers.

So sad to hear this. Here's hoping that better days are on the way. She may cry often but it is probably better than keeping it all bottled up inside; I know I've cried my share of tears over the last several wks with my Dh medical issues & somehow I always feel just a tiny bit better. As for saying that she wished she had only impanted 1; she is no doubt doing the "if only I had done this or that" my babies would be healthy--we all do the "if only" at some point. The plus side to all of this is that these tiny babies have survived thus far! Hopefully with today's medical knowledge they will overcome these obstacles that are popping up in front of them. You have 2 very tired, very stressed parents but with good friends like you somehow they will manage the strength to make the journey that is ahead. Wishing the very best for the entire family.
