Price Reductions

Hi All,

As a veteran cruiser and Diamond Plus on Royal Caribbean, just wanted to be sure everyone is aware of how the pricing works. For those of you that book well in advance (as we often do) doesn't mean you are locked into the booking price should it go down. If you are within the cancellation period (normally 70 days) and you see that the price has gone down (the way you find this out is by going on line and starting a reservation with the same conditions that you have already booked), just call them up and they will reduce the price to the going rate. Rates change literally daily and you can save a bundle if you keep on top of it.

I am a big fan of this. I did this for my cruise this past February. In early December I was checking on my cruise and noticed a Michigan resident discount and I was already paid in full for a PR room. I called up and asked if I could upgrade to a balcony, since the balcony now only cost a little more than what the PR room was costing me and for just a little over $100 total I had a larger room and a balcony. It's well worth it to check every few days.

I checked on my Bahama cruise yesterday and saw that I could get a residency discount and move up two decks, plus get a refund! I called, changed my cabin and my cc will be refunded the difference! :D

You don't even have to be within the cancellation period...if you have a price drop after final payment RCL will still honor it, they will refund your credit card...as long as it isn't a Tuesday special for new bookings only...

I'm just bringing this one back from the dead because of the price reductions I just got. On Sunday noticed my Bahamas cruise went down $50 a person so got that onboard credit. Then today did another search and now there was a residency rate discount and got another $54 a person off. I've got $208 onboard credit now. Love it.
