When you go on priceline it pops up a grid for the area. The downtown area is closest as well as (I think) Coconut Grove. I found our hotel for $35 in Oct. and we stayed at the Sheraton Biscayne Bay. Granted that is their off season, but I have heard many others getting good deals as well. Also, I alway's choose the highest star rating with my price in mind. You can alway's work down the list or wait 48 hrs to put in another request. Just make sure that you have all the information correct when making that final click, or you will be stuck with a hotel room for a date you wouldn't be able to stay.
