Pride cabin question

We are a family of 4 & booked a 4K obstructed view stateroom on the Pride out of Baltimore for Thanksgiving week. This will be our 5th cruise, first Carnival & first with the kids. (4 Celebrity & 1 RCL ) We have stayed in inside, outside & balcony cabins. I'm a little unsure about looking out at the side of a life boat. We were thinking about upgrading to a ocean suite. So i guess I have two questions. How is Carnival with 2 kids (7&9) and should I upgrade to the larger cabin? Thanks.

Think of it as an inside and you won't feel so bad about not being able to see much......
Carnival has a good kids program, especially in that age group, they will keep busy. With two kids, the more room you get naturally the better, if any size suite is within the budget it would be a good move, as long as you are comfortable with the kids being around a balcony but there is always the rule, nobody on the balcony unless one of us is out there.

Understanding your PROPER concern as a parent. Please note there is not a single incident of a child accidentally falling off any cruise ship anywhere, ever.

Acually I have no proper concern, and I am not a parent.

I realize that there are no instances on record but I would sure hate to hear about a first time because a parents attention was occupied and a child out of curiosity pulled a chair over to the railing to look over the side and lost their balance. It was just a heads up for someone taking their kids for the first time , nothing more or less. We are talking 7 and 9 years old here, curiosity abounds.

Carnival is great with kids. Whether you should upgrade is a question only you can answer. It is your money and your choice. What will you have to give up to upgrade? Which is more important to you, what you have to give up or the upgrade?
