I agree, it's hard tp pick between them.
My suggestion to help pick are based on intangibles.
1) Have you sailed on either ship before? You can choose to ride the same ship again, or choose to ride another.
2) Pick the ship with the departure and arrival day that best fits your schedule.
3) Itineraries are slightly different, even with the same ship. Pick the itinerary that you like best.
4) Why choose between them? Ride both, first on the ship with a Saturday departure, then on the second with a Sunday departure. Turn that one week cruise into a two week cruise on two ships.

I have sailed POAmerica and Norwegian Sky (the week before they converted it into POAmerica). I would go for the POAmerica only because it is newer. The staff is friendly. As far as the food, amenities, entertainment, I would assume they're basically similar. Check my POAmerica review for more information on the ship.

We were booked on the Pride of America and just changed yesterday to the Pride of Hawaii. It'll be brand new this June and sailing the same basic itinerary at the POA, but has much more time in Kauai. We actually have 2 days there now.
There's a terrific "Sail of all Sales" going on right now for the Pride of Hawaii. We got a great upgrade from 2 cat. BD's to 2 cat. AF mini-suites. You might want to compare prices before you make a decision. Make sure your TA asks for the S.O.A.S. price.
