dalwhitt,Let me clarify myself, I was not trying to say that you must be union to enjoy these benefits I was simply saying that before unions fought for workers rights such conditions did not exist. i was upset with what I felt was a union bashing statement on the previous post. To be fair & equal I also do not care for unions that abuse their power. I too was raised in a home where my father was union & have continued that tradtion, I am also an instructor in our local & try to emphasise to my apprentices to have union pride by doing the best job possible & to give our employers a good 8 hours work for 8 hours of good pay.A nation that forgets its past is doomed to repeat it.-Winston ChurchillGary
