We are set to sail on the pride on October 5th, it is so great to have a newer ship doing the mexican riviera, anybody else planning on cruisin with us. we have balcony cabin on the stern of the ship, and truly cant wait I would sure love to hear any comments about this ship, it has been a long time since we have sailed Carnival, but I have heard the newer ships are really an improvement over the older vegas styled ships. Hope to meet some people here to share the fun with!!

The Pride is a great ship, I was on her last March. The art/style of the ship is Renaissance, some people don't like it, but I thought it was nice. Be sure to check out the Sunset Garden, that was my favorite quiet area on the ship. =)

My husband and I are on the same cruise.
We are thinking of staying at the Queen Mary the night before.
Check-in is suppose to be a breeze in the new terminal.

Barry - Great Review! Thank You.

Dorthy,
Glad to be able to meet someone going on the same trip, on our last cruise we had about 30 to 35 people that we had met on the boards, it sure made the trip alot of fun to have friends prior to even getting on board.we all even got together the night before we boarded just to meet face to face.
Have you cruised before? this will be our 5th, and we can't wait!!
we actually have stayed at the Queen Mary last year, it is a cool ship with so much history, you will enjoy it. what ever you do don't waste money on the ghost tour on board the Queen Mary, some of the other tours are great but that one seemed super cheesey.
We live in southern California, so we will just drive down that day, We are looking forward to the new peir, I am sure it will be much nicer than San Pedro.
I hope we get some more people to join us on the boards, its so much fun to share ideas about what we'll all be doing ashore.
have fun jo-rene

Just got off the Pride Sat. Sit outside the Normandie dining room once after dinner and count how many people take photos in front of the painting of the reclining nude woman. There are extra tables in the dining room to accomodate all seating requests. Our waiter wanted my daughter and another girl at our table to try different food so he brought what they ordered plus something else almost every night. One lady did not come to dinner because she had trouble with her formal outfit so the waiter gave a meal to her daughter to take to the cabin. This was his idea. Have fun!

I cruised on the Pride last April and this class ship has become my favorite. It is the perfect size ship IMHO. It is a change of the Carnival ships of old. Much more toned down. I found that it has a great passenger flow with two interior promenade decks. There are plenty of places to just sit and relax. One of the pluses to this ship is the lido dining options. Plenty of different food stations to pick from for lunch. The west coast is gaining a great ship. Have fun on your cruise.

I will be sailing on the Pride May 10 and can't wait. After reading all the posts on Pride I am so excited to see her. This next week will go by so slowly so I am trying to keep myself busy .
