Hey girls,

I'm looking at the Grand, which I'm booked on, and it seems identical to the Ruby. Same public rooms, restaurants, lounges, etc.

Same ship class, different name?

Actually Grand and Golden Princess are sisters..they hold 2600 passengers..right now Grand is having fabulous itineraries if we only had more vacation time for Mark!!..:(..sigh..we've been on Golden for 2 sailings.. and would go on again in a heartbeat!!Very good friends of ours have done a 14 dayer on Grand Princess 2x in the last 2 years ,and have another one next January!!..they LOVE the Grand!!..she had a refurb, and John swears the crew is THE best!!,,as it's 14 days or longer sailings in the Winter Caribbean sailings.. and the crew has the ability to have longer times between Flip days..so not so much stress!!
Golden Princess ties with Coral Princess as our favorite "bigger build".medium size.
.smallest is Sea ,Ocean, and we like their amenties too..the restaurant for the Pizzeria in the middle of the ship is so nice!!

. Emerald, Ruby, Caribbean, and Crown are the largest of the sister ships, and are HUGE..we love the way that works for our AFT's..but then agani we go as "a couple" and not group.so we meander around at our leisure... as being in a huge group it's for sure nuts getting everyone in one spot!!.. Wanna hear something funny? I had a "pile" of cruise crap from all the ships I booked this fall. I must have accidentally thrown them out. Now I honestly have no idea what ships I'm booked on, there were so many. Going through my credit card statements looking for deposits....

You know there's no way I'm spending that amount of time on X with the restricted smoking issues, and I'm now hearing not so great things about Oceania, so it will probably boil down to HAL and Princess. This is the first "destination" cruise I've ever taken, so not so concerned with life on board as I normally would be. Back to trying to figure out how many bookings I made....
