The following is a list of Carnival Stateroom categories for the whole entire fleet. Category 8 is the balcony category, the different letters represent the different decks that the rooms are on. Generally, A would represent the lowest possible deck for that category, B would be the next highest up and so on. So on the victory 8A would be balcony cabins on Upper Deck 6. 8B represents balcony cabins on Empress Deck 7 and so on. The Carnival Victory only goes up to category 8E for balconies though. Also, the higher up you go, in general the more you pay, but the price differences is usually nothing more than a few dollars.
