Question about Dinning and San Juan

We will arrive in San Juan at 5:00pm. Was wondering since we will be there so late do they do open seating for dinner that night or do they still stick with the dinning times? On our last cruise when we were in port at Cozumel real late they did open seating. You could come and eat in the formal dinning room when you wanted during the alotted times. Was hoping this will be the case in San Juan because our tour we have booked is 5:00p.m.-7:30p.m. Was hoping to do our tour and still get to eat in the dinning room. I know we can at the causal places but we love the dinning room and really hope we won't have to miss out even one night. Any info. would really help us plan.

I'm not sure about dinner on the ship, but when we were in San Juan we found a fabulous little place called Barrachina's...about a ten-minute or less walk from the ship. It was definitely worth missing the dining room that one night!

I cruised on the Triumph in April of last year and dinner was open seating when we were in San Juan. We arrived in San Juan at 5:00pm.

We sailed on the Victory- arrived in San Juan at 5pm and ate our dinner in the dining room before we went into Port. We sat at our assigned table at 5:45 when the dining room opened. Lots of people were in there dining. I dont know about late seating since we were in the port at that time.
In this port things are closed except shopping.
