Question about dog food

I have coupons for Iams dry dog food. I remember there was a problem with that brand a while ago. Did a google search and it was last April, but can't find anything recent. Does anyone still use this brand? Any advice or warnings about buying it? My store has it on sale, plus the coupon would make it a bonus but I'm a little nervous about it. Thanks for any information. :dog

=yeah that is my understanding too. Haven't used IAMs for the dogs since the problems but have gotten the cat food for Bella.

All contaminated food was pulled from the shelves by reputable sellers. It's long past, and if the food is now on the shelves, and you trust where you shop, then I would say it's ok. I don't use Iams only because my pup has sensitive skin, so I go with Avoderm for him, but I do use Iams for my cats.

Thanks for the advice everyone. :dog :thumb CC: I did google Iams but the only thing that came up were the articles about tainted food.

Hi Karry,

We use the IAMs dry dog food for our dogs. It was only the canned IAM's that was included in the recall, never the dry stuff. I read all the reacall notices carefully, always looking for our brand and type. The dry was never on the list.

So we've been able to use the dry IAMS continously. These dogs have never eaten anything else, and seem to be doing great.
