Question about "Informal" Clothing

Hi

I have never sailed with Celebrity before. I'll be on the Galaxy's 11-night sailing to the eastern Caribbean. The Celebrity material describes informal attire for men as jacket, shirt, and tie.

Is this what is usually worn by men on informal evenings?

Celebrity is dressier but they won't throw you out if you have a jacket with a sharp shirt under your jacket. There are many wearing ties with jackets and this is the norm. Enjoy!

and they won't throw you out if you are neat and don't have a tie and or a jacket .. but you will need a shirt. As Ross said the norm is tie and jacket . but Don't sweat the small stuff .

Open collared dress shirt and jacket will work. Also a nice dress shirt with NO jacket will NOT be turned away. Just dont try the jeans and T-shirt as that will get a BIG thumbs down.

Charles Basically here it goes this way, and on Celebrity it's pretty much followed.

Formal: Tux of Dark Shirt

Informal: Sport coat

Cassual: Shirt and slacks

I agree with hooked. On a recent late January Summit cruise we never saw one couple not in compliance with the evening dress code. If that does not appeal to you Carnival has many nice ships and great ports of call.

Yes they do. However, I wore the same suit with different ties each informal night. I take my tux and one suite on 11-night cruises.

I love formal night, but I wish they would do away with informal. JMHO
