Dear Pat,Step1. Go to the store and buy a mask, fins and snorkel ($50 but you don't have to put your mouth where 100's of others have)Step 2. Go to the nearest YMCA, Health Club, School (open swim) or motel (with a pool)and practice. You still have time to do this.Step 3. If you can snorkel in fresh water, you are more bouyant in salt water so it is easier to stay afloat. Also, you can get a blow-up life preserver from the snorkel boat captain and just blow it up enough to help you keep afloat without making you bob up and down like a cork.If you follow these steps, you will be able to snorkel with confidence and have a much better time!
