Good evening -

I have a question concerning a stateroom on Radiance of the Seas. I have booked a land/tour cruise to Alaska for Aug '08. I booked a stateroom on the "hump". I have read that these are really good rooms to book - any opinions - good or bad?

Thanks so much!

Actually the rooms that are at the edges of the bump are the best. Just look at the deck plans and you can see that those rooms have verandahs that are much larger than average. The ones in the center of the bump have slightly larger verandahs, but not by much. Still overall the central location of those cabins is great. Convenient to everything. We were in one of those edge-bump cabins on the Serende and loved it.

Joanne is right. If you can get a cabin on the sloping side of the hump area, you'll have more balcony square footage.

Personally, I love being mid-ship and I love the hump side cabins! :)

Sailed last November.... Cabin #8588. The balcony was the best.
We could see straight out and forward as far as your eye could see. Also gave us a bit more room for seating. The cabin #8590 next to us got less than the average balcony because of the ship layout. Being on the hump is the best I have found, but check out your deck plans and find your room to get the best idea of balcony size. You will have a great cruise, this was a fabulous ship!
