How are you feeling these days, Mari?

I know you're in the hearts and thoughts of many, with prayers aplenty.

I have been wondering too Mary Ann - I sent her a PM the other day and haven't heard from her. I hope that she's just busy with holiday activities and not feeling poorly.

SHe replied to my request for prayers for a coworker last week. She sounded very upbeat then - as usual!

Thanks for asking. Seems like this past week I've just run out of steam. More than 2 errands in one day is all I can handle before I need to come home and nap! Very disappointing, cuz I'm just not used to this. Chemo went well yesterday, they added a new drug Avistan, which tended to make me feel a little quezy but I'm experimenting on what helps without actually taking the Compazine. Chugaluging peppermint tea seems to be the best thing so far.

On Saturday when my husband went to the airport to pick up my Sister he was waiting at a light and the lady in front of him just zipped into reverse (she hit the gear shift into reverse by mistake). Guess she was flying cuz when she smacked into the middle of our front bumper she messed up the hood, fender, both lights were knocked off their brackets, the AC was damaged and we're waiting till the front section is removed to be able to access the radiator. Can you believe $5,000 in damage??? The lady's agent will be looking at the car next Tues and he will cut us a check on the spot for the damage estimates thus far, plus a rental car and whatever is else is necessary will also be covered as needed.

So needless to say I've been really sad that my Mom's car was harmed. I'm very grateful that no one was injured and the car seems perfectly capable of being driven until they can repair it.

Hugs, Mariposa

Thanks for checking in. Sorry to hear of your Mom's car being damaged. Too bad you need to wait till Tuesday for a settlement, but great that no one was injured.
Sounds like your treatments are progressing as predicted. I wish you all the best of luck during this very stressful process.

Glad to hear from you. Too bad about the car but at least she had insurance & here at Xmas you probably made some collision repair guy happy! Hope you're having a nice visit with your sister.

Thank you for checking in, Ronda. I know you realize that fatigue can be one of many side-effects of chemo, so please try to relax and accept that you may need to slow down a bit for awhile.

I'm sorry about your Mom's car, but glad no one was injured. I can readily believe the $$ of the damage. My vehicle was rear-ended last Christmas day - slight damage to the rear bumper, yet it cost over $2,000.00 - paid by the one who caused it (she was driving her Father's car).

Am sorry to hear you're a bit under the weather Mari - take the time you need to get through each day. What gets done is done and what doesn't is always there for another day.

Hugs to you,
K.
