I have never sailed over Christmas but I know the ship will be decorated very nicely. There will be many families and lots of kids on the Crristmas sailing.

I am going on that cruise as well this year! I heard that we are going to have a wonderful time and that we need to be sure to book our spa appointments early. We have a balcony room - this is our first cruise with carnival and we are very excited.

I think its going to be way fun - I am sure they will play festive movies and have everything decorated. We have excursions planned for each day in port and reserved dinner at the fine dining restaurant for the day after christmas.

we did this exact cruise... 2 ?? years ago i think and i will tell you my experience.

the ship was decorated nicely. we cruised with our 5 kids and mother in law as usual. we did take a few gifts on for exchange christmas morning. i would have liked a bit more christmas music for myself personally. i dont remember really there being a lot of christmas "stuff" whatever that may be (never saw "santa", or could find a church service) lol. we also bought some gifts in port as part of our exchange christmas morning. all in all it was an experience, but we decided for us, we will take the insanity of the holidays and our completely dysfunctional family to open tons of gifts and share eggnog at home, in the future!

have a great time and merry christmas to you all! :) sophie
