Hi Everyone!

My mom and I are sailing on the Carnival Glory on October 18 on a Western Caribbean itinerary. I'd love to hear from anyone who has sailed on the Glory! I've only sailed the Fantasy class with Carnival, so I am looking forward to sailing a bigger ship. We have booked a Balcony on the Verandah deck. I'd love information on the balcony staterooms, the ship and the ports on the Western itinerary. Any out of the way places on the ship not to miss?

Thanks for your information! And pics are also welcome!

i prefer cabins on the empress deck-- away from public areas.
depending on where your cabin is located you might hear scrapping of the chairs.

I like cruiseclues.com and do a search on sister ships, like the Liberty and the COnquest and they will all be about the same.

We sailed on the Miracle a while back. My first bigger Carnival ship after 4 Fantasy Class and the Celebration. If you enjoyed the Fantasy class ship you'll really enjoy the Glory.

The Glory was a great ship! I agree with serene56...I also prefer cabins on the Empress deck. You are sandwiched between 2 passenger decks so you won't get noise from the pool above or clubs, casinos, etc. But I'm sure you'll have a great time regardless!

Thanks everyone! I'm sure we'll have a great time. I always scope out the cabin I pick as well. I don't want to be either below or above a club or restaurant. Right now, there is an awesome past guest deal on this sailing. A 4-category upgrade, I believe, which was nice! Always like a great deal!

Cruizer,

Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures, and I really enjoyed reading your review. Writing a review at sea sounds like a good idea, so I will be taking a laptop! We will have a balcony as well, so will be nice to sit and relax.

Thanks so much for sharing!

We had an awesome time on the glory, it was its 20th sailing, we celebrated our 10yr anniversary on thanksgiving day, and we ate in the supper club (additional fee) and it was out of this world!! highly recommend it. You will leave full!! WE did the same cruise, loved cozumel, wasn't crazy about Belize, if you go into the town be careful, not the cleanest, same goes for progresso. Have fun!!!

I was to Belize about 4 years ago and they had an excurion that left from the ship and took a Thriller Power Boat to Caye Caulker. This island was cool, we were there about 3 hours. From there, you could explore the island or grab a short boat ride out to the awesome reef that they have. We never made it into Belize City, and it we were to go there again, I'd do the same thing.

You didn't miss a thing by not going in to town Colleen....except for a ton of cab drivers wanting to take you on a tour and a ton of ladies wanting to braid the girls' hair. We didn't even go out of the tourisim village on our last trip.

Here are our two favorite things for Belize. One at Caye Caulker with a snorkel trip out to the reef and Shark Ray Alley and the other to Bannester Caye with a snorkel trip to the reef and Manatee watching. We loved them both but the Bannister Island trip was our favorite.
