hello everyone I'll be going on my first cruise on the Destiny in may and I looked at the website and didn't see any excursion that caught my attention so i was wondering do you really have to take excursions to have a great trip? what other things can we do besides excursions so that we don't get bored or lost? Also the DH doesn't think we need to purchase travel insurance don't really know if it's a good idea to go without it I found a cheaper qoute with AIG called my travel guard with better service has anyone tried this company? Any advice is helpful

...You don't have to any excursions through Carnival. You can just take a cab to the beach or just walk around. In addition, most islands have "locals" who operate excursions. All at a much lower price...and possibly more interesting to you. I'm sure people who have sailed on the "Destiny" have suggestions.
...I can't say it strongly enough. Buy travel insurance! TravelGuard is a good carrier
