Robert Goulet has passed away of a rare pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 73.

Another beautiful voice will now be heard "from above".

He was one of those who had an unmistakable voice. And I loved the commercial that he was in recently!! It was hilarious!

Keep singing, Robert!

This is so sad. I remember reading that he was ill. I didn't know it was going to be this quick. My condolences to his family.

I had read last week that he was sick & awaiting a lung transplant. He told his wife before he was put on a respirator that once they got him some new lungs he was going to sing until he was 100.
He had a form of the same lung disease I have.

Farewell Sir Lancelot!

Robert Goulet's beautiful voice will be much missed. He will be remembered for so many wonderful performances but you know I remember most the DuMaurier cigarette commercials from what seems like a thousand years ago. He was so suave and debonaire that he likely got a lot of us hooked ::eek: !

Whoops...::eek:::eek: He was not married to Eydie Gormet of Steve (Lawrence) and Eydie fame however but to Vera Chochorovska Novak.

and forever will be remembered up here as the "Canuck" that forgot the words to the Star Spangled Banner. I can't remember now where that happened... a game or opening night somewhere but his wonderful voice never made up for the faux pas in the minds of many.

He had such a pair of Blue eyes. I remember my Mom would walk around the house and sing "What kind of fool am I" and my brother would say," I don't know, what kind?"
