raddission and balcony guaranteed

we are going on the june 23 eastern cruise. we will be on the glory. have a few questions. first has any body ever stayed at the raddission the night before the cruise. has anybody ever use the hotel shutytle to the port. do they pick you up after the cruise to get your car. second we have a guaranteed balcony room, there are 4 people in our room. what are chances of getting an upgrade. third, if anybody has any lastest capers of the glory it would be appreciate. this is our first cruise on the carnival.

We were on the Glory several years ago and had a great time. We stayed at the Radisson the night before the cruise and the hotel was fine. They have a really nice pool area and the food at the buffet was great...a little on the pricey side but very good. The rooms were just average for me but definately worth the stay because it's so close to the ship. We booked the shuttle prior to our arrival and had the first shuttle out...can't remember the time now, but I think it was around 10:30 am or so. There were 16 in our group and we had no problem getting there. We did not take the shuttle back after the cruise because we had Arts Shuttle service waiting for us to take us back to the airport.

We also stayed in a balcony room. They are very nice by the way. I'm not sure that there are really any chances for an upgrade unless you booked the balcony guarantee room. Then maybe you might be upgraded, but I'm not really sure. We've always booked our own rooms and have stayed away from the guarantees because I like to know just where I'm going to be. It's been so long since our cruise I no longer have the capers but I'm sure someone on here has them for you. I hope you have a great time on the Glory!

We stayed at the Radisson and used the shuttle service and was very satisfied. I called a couple of weeks prior to our arrival and they put our names on the list for the time we wanted. I also confirmed everything a few days prior to our arrival and once again at check in. Like Babuska said, the rooms are fine, the pool area is awesome! We had breakfast that came with our package but I had to pay for a couple of extra buffets and they were $$. We had dinner at Grills the night before and it was great. Grills is located near the port and you can watch boats come and go. They have an outdoor dining area and live music.
