I plan on sailing on the RCCL's Voyager of the Seas next year and I wanted to know how the ship is. Decor, staterooms, food, etc. Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

You may get more responses if you post this in the RCL board instead of the Carnival board.

But we have been on the VOS..in fact went in February this year. What specifically did you want to know.
We had a balcony cabin and did the western itinerary.

I realized after I posted that it was the wrong board. But, I wanted to know about the decor, the food, etc. Were there a lot of activities onboard? Thanks.

I was on the Voyager when it was a brand new ship. It is a beautiful, big ship and to date it is the prettiest ship I've ever been on. There are lots of activities on board...basketball, ice skating, rock climbing wall, mini golf, etc. I don't know if any of these things have changed. There are lots of clubs and bars to go to so whatever your likes are you should be able to find something enjoyable for you. The decor was very nice and we loved the promenade, the shopping area. There was definately plenty to do on the ship and we were never bored. As a matter of fact we didn't even get a chance to visit all the places we wanted to on the ship. If you like to work out I really enjoyed the fitness club there. I never work out on my cruises but did on this ship and really enjoyed it. I'm sure if you go to the RCCL site you will get better information there. Like I said it's been quite a few years since we were on the Voyager. We've wanted to go back but just haven't yet. We've done a few Carnival cruises since that we've also enjoyed very much.

Wow...there is alot to do onboard. We went to the ice show (can't miss that!) and got picked as judges and that was so fun! They have a miniature golf course, a basketball court, a rock climbing wall to name a few things. They had the group RAIN on there when we were there and they do the Beatles stuff and they are awesome! We liked them so much we found their website and bought their cd :)

You can't go wrong. It was great. We ate at Portofinos there (make reservations early) and the food was good. Overall the cruise was great. We'd go on that ship again.

I had a website set up with everything from photos to review, etc...but my domain ran out :( so we are getting it renewed. I will have to move it to my other server if I can. Otherwise I'd send you to that page I made. But you will have a great time!

Actually this is not my first cruise. This will be my sixth one, but last year I cruised on Adventure of the Seas and I loved that ship! There was plenty to do on that ship. I just wanted to make sure that VOS was similar to AOS.

We just returned from a cruise on VOS two weeks ago. Our 2nd on her and we love the ship! I can't add too much to what everyone else said. We were "not crazy" about Portofinos. The food wasn't that great and definitely not worth the cover charge. Maybe we were just there on an "off day." The casino is always very lively and they have a nice bar right in the middle of it if you prefer to sit and watch the action. We also loved the Pig and Whistle. And spent a lot of time in the Sports Bar watching our Yanks play. Be sure to go to the bar next to the golf bar (I don't know why I have a mental block about the name of it!!) on deck 12 and look out at the ship and the sea. It is awesome! Service was friendly and excellent; the ship is immaculate and beautiful. One thing I didn't know on the lst cruise that we figured out this time. That "prism" by the pool. Everyone who has been on the ship will know what I am talking about....it STARTS in the Royal Promenade and goes all the way UP. You will have a great cruise on the VOS. Take me with you!!!

Another plus for us on the Voyager was the pool area. It is set up really well and didn't have an overcrowed feeling to me. I loved that they had an adults only pool area that was a little more private than the main area. We also loved Johnny Rockets for their burgers and shakes. When we went there was no cover charge...I don't know if that's still the same or not.
