The boats at Sting Ray City are they easy to get in and out of? Had knee surgery 4 year's ago, I can climb a ladder if it's at an angle, but cannot get in and out of a boat if the ladder is straight up and down. I have been wanting to do this shore tour for a long time now!!!! Thank you ahead of time for your reply's and help!

Any snorkeling boats I have been on (in the Caribbean inc the ones I did at StingRay City) have the straight up and down ladders....

I did this one after knee replacement and the guys and gals on board were really helpful in assisting people back on board. What I did was step up each rung with the good knee and then bringing the replaced one up. And when I got to the top just asked for help... Not sure what I would do now, as I have had the second knee done. But I think I would try it if you can get around pretty well.

Course I'm the idiot that climbed the the Acropolis in Athens 6 weeks and 1 day after surgery..... Yes, I am bragging, still not sure how I did it.

Thank's MarciaL! My husband was suggesting the very same thing you mentioned about taking one step at a time, I really want to do this as the first time we had it planned, before my knee-surgery, the Catamaran that was due to take us out to the sand bar got cancelled due to high wind's & waves. I just hope I don't get a bad case of the "giggles" as they're hauling my big-carcass outta the ocean!!! Gotta hand it to ya for climbing the Acroplois so soon after your surgery!!!

I really think you should try it. My husband went along, but he just stayed on the catamaran and took pictures, but I was going in the
water, come H*ll or high water...... It was one of those really magical moments. The sting rays were all around us and we could feed
them. Good luck.......

Here is a picture that includes the ladder off the back of Captain Bryan's Buccaneer. It is at an angle, so you should be able to go up and down. If you can possibly use it, I would sure go on this excursion. The cost was cheaper than the cruise line, and there were fewer people aboard. The timing is perfect for most cruise ships, and the excursion was wonderful!

Just what I'm looking for Sheffie!!! Your another angel of mercy along with PH8 and all the help you've given me! The "ladder" is just the type I'm looking for as far as getting on & off the boat, I don't want to look like they're hauling in a 200-pound Marlin when I try to get back into the boat!!! We're going to book thru them.
