Elaine and I are sailing with our group on the AOS Feb 17 2008 on the Southern itinerary in cabin #6520 on deck 6 and were wondering how the ride is. This is the farthest forward we've been and I tend to get woozy when she pitches too much so was wondering if I should bring meds or not. Thanx for any replies.

I dont know how you feel about upping from that D3 to a D2($40 more)but if you do, you can get a cabin more midship(less motion) on deck 7....

besides,not sure if you are aware,but the balconies on deck 6 on the AOS are solid metal,whereas the ones on deck 7 and higher are not....heres some pics to explain better.You can click on any of them to see more...

deck 6--->
deck 7 or higher--->

You'll definitely get more movement that far forward. Bring Bonine & take it before you even step on the ship. If you had to choose very far forward vs. very far aft, you'd get a little less being in the very aft section, but the mid-ship is still the smoothest ride.
Aim for the lowest, most mid-ship deck. :)

Lady Jag is right on the mark. Twice we were forward on a ship and both times I got seasick. We have been way aft and I never got sick.
No more forward cabins for me.

The only cruise I've ever gotten seasick on was to Cozumel. Our cabin was in the front and I was sick the whole ride there. Its always best to stay midship.
