Saw this on TV.

It is too late to make this for the Holiday. It takes 80 days to set up. But for those of you that like this. Or you could mark the bottle not to be ready until whatever date........

They had what looked like a one quart canning jar. It was taller than any canning jar I'd ever seen.

You take 6 leaves of Lemon Zest and break them up. Put them in the bottom of the canning jar along with some fresh lemon peel. They poured Stolli Vodka about a half bottle in, covered it and gave it a shake. Then you put in in a dark area under your cabinet for 40 days.

After the 40 days you pull it out. Mix two cups of sugar with two cups of water and bring it to a boil keep stirring to make sure the sugar dissolves. Let it cool a few minutes and add the sugar water to the vodka/lemon mixture. After it it totally cooled, cover and put in a dark place again another 40 days.

After the 40 days strain off the mixture into a pretty bottle and you have lemonchello.

I have never tried the stuff but have seen it talked about here. So if it is your cup of tea there you go!
