If anyone is interested in going fishing in Ketchikan, I have a recommendation for an excellent charter company. It is the True Alaskan Charter. Bruce offers a 4-6hr as a 1/2 day charter. You can do anything you want in that span of time, fishing for salmon, halibut, bottom fish, crabbing, sightseeing, etc. He only charges $120/pp for 2 and $100/pp for 4 people. I just want o share a great find with all of you.
Ketchikan is the best place to fish, with lots of salmon. You can fish for halibut without going far out to sea, but in the calm waters close to shore.
