I had SS1221 on the Mercury (sister ship to Galaxy).Hands down - the Sky Deck rules. Forget the Penthouse Deck. Sky Deck is cozier, quieter and more classier - not much traffic in the hallways, what with only 40 or so staterooms - compared to something like 175 on the Penthouse Deck - and the size of those verandahs!! Suites on Penthouse Deck have much smaller balconies. As for specific sky suites, choose one that has a small cut-away, rather than the complete squared-off verandah. IMHO you get a much better-degree front- or aft- view (depending on where the cut-away is) than in a boxed-in balcony, where you would be limited to the straight-ahead view. Check out the deck plans and you'll see what I mean.Enjoy - and get ready to be spoiled in a sky suite.
