Perhaps we'll be your perfect travelling companions. We are an English non-smoking family of 4- (our two children are 15 and 13 and very sensible, and of course never argue! ). We are also on Jewel of the Seas on same dates as you.We are just about to book with red october 1.5 -2 days excursions.Please reply to forum.

We would be delighted to have you as touring companions in St. Petersburg.
We have just forwarded our address to Laura at Red October but have not selected a definite itinerary...we, too, are looking at 1.5-2 days of tours. I was there 30 years ago and am willing to visit any place again...my husband has never been there. We enjoy "limited" visits to palaces and museums...a WHOLE day at the Hermitage is not in our plans.

We'd be delighted to tour with you in St. Petersburg. Almost anything you are interested in would probably suit us except for LONG hours in museums! We look forward to SOME indoor tours but will most enjoy outdoor touring (gardens, sightseeing, meeting people, etc.)
We are retired...have grandchildren the age of your children (so will enjoy their company).
Home is San Diego, CA and Laura at Red October will recognize us as Robert and Barbara Jones.

Dear Robert and Barbara, thank you for your very prompt reply.We have just bought a DVD of touring St P's and will decide pretty soon exactly where we would most like to go.

Thanks, too, for YOUR prompt reply...it sounds as though your choice will be fine with us. We spent yesterday with friends who recently returned from St. Petersburg and saw their slides. All of it is beautiful!

We haven't had a chance to see dvd today.Our daughter won a cup at sport's day - very proud although it literally was the size of an egg-cup! Trying to get in a holiday mood here even though weather man has forecast plummeting temperatures and high winds this week.We don't disbelieve him as we had a spectacular hailstorm here last week.We just love English summers!
