I booked a snorkel tour with reggie to goff's key. He has a good reputation but when I got to Belize (I was a bit late because of ship offloading) I wasted a lot of my time trying to follow his directions to find him. It was very confusing. And to make matters worse, everyone claimed to be his representative. I didn't know who to trust. But I finally got a very nice security woman to help me out. It seems that Reggie does only the cave tubing and subcontracts the snorkeling to people who have boats. (very very fast boats)
Anyhow we caught the boat to Goffs and had a pretty good time. It is a small but beautiful island but we weren't alone. THere were many other boats with people there so it kind of lost the deserted island ambiance.
The water there is mostly shallow and seemed very safe to wade or swim.
I'm going back to Belize on July 13. This time I'm going to try Shark Ray alley.
Many people on our ship took jungle and cave tubing tours and all seemed to have a great time.
