Does anyone have experience renting cars at these two ports?  Is it necessary to reserve in advance?  Are the rental car offices near port?  Prices?  Company suggestions?  Advice?

My wife and I would like to drive up to White Pass and sites while in Skagway and tour Mendenhal Glacier and stop by the Alaska Brewing Company while in Juneau.
