RENTAL CARS TAMPA

Is anyone familiar with rental car companies in Tampa (TPA) ? I made a bone head move and scheduled us in a day early for the cruise, and didn't know the SuperBowl was that day, I know I said bonehead. So I need to get out of Tampa that day, hotels are outrageous, yada yada yada... But didn't know if any one rental company has better on-site service in your opinion...thanks for the help.

What is your worry? Everyone will be at the game. You will have the city all to yourself. :lol

I have rented from Hertz, Avis and Enterprise. No problems with any of them.

There are reasons I don't trust Budget, Alamo or Dollar.

I am neutral on the other big names (National, Thrifty). Be careful of small "Mom & Pop" rental agencies. Most are okay, but some are a lot more interested in your money than in you.

Orlando (which contains more than just Disney World) is just about 90 miles to the east. You might head there.

LOL....I worry because every hotel starts at $500 in town, I left Michigan to go to Tampa, when we had the superbowl, and a rental car for one day is costing $100 !!! Avis gave me the best deal....and have relatives 40 minutes away, so we will visit them. I usually arrive a day early, and just cab to the port in my own time. Just a bigger hassle with all the traffic in town....I worry, worry, and plan, plan, but get there and enjoy !:S

I'm like that. I plan and plan to make sure everything is covered. I just don't want anything to go wrong. Where from Michigan are you from?
