Renting 18ft power boats on St. Maarten

Has anyone done this? I can get a boat with ski gear for about $280 for 5 hours. The boat seats at least 6. I want to take 11 people, so I would have to take 5 to a beach, drop them off and go back for the other 5. Then we can work using the beach as our home base. We would bring a cooler with lunch and drinks with us.

Has anyone done this that can tell me how it went ?
