Repeater's Cocktail Party

Recently cruised the Horizon to Bermuda. They are starting to implement their new upscale amenities program. The only things I noticed different were a "welcome aboard champagne or mimosa" and the elimination of the Repeater's Cocktail Party.

I just sailed on Galaxy on May 9. We noticed several of the rebranding initiataves in effect.

Champagne on arrival
Sorbet and iced tea/lemonade served poolside
Sushi

All were very nice.

The Sushi was especially nice given that there are no specialty restaurants on Galaxy. My fiance said that the quality of the fish was very good. The sushi chef even made rolls to order for me since I am a vegetarian. The sushi was available for no additional charge. Sake and Japanes beer were available for purchase.

I understood there is a Capt. Club party for those who attain the second or third level of the program.

In years past, Celebrity has held a Repeaters party and a Captain's Club party for its members. Are you saying they aren't going to continue this? or Just Captain's Club party for their Elite status members and above?
I am booked again on Celebrity and really would like to know what to expect.

On the Galaxy there was only a Captain's Club party. I don't think it was only for Select and Elite though. My faince and I are both founder classic members and we received invitations.

My friend's parents got invited to a party for honeymooners and anniversaires. They said that champagne and cake were served and it was very nice.

My understanding is that the Repeater's Party is discontinued. The Captain's Club Party will be continued for all members. The Captain's Club Party was held while in port from 7:45 PM to 8:30 PM. This is between the first and second seating for dinner. Not a convenient time for anyone ... especially while in port. A coincidence? Although we may have missed other things, these were the only rebranding initiataves (proper terminology?) we noticed, other than the "welcome aboard champagne or mimosa". All this being said, we never went (still go on other lines) to the Repeater's Party or the Captain's Club Party until 10 -15 minutes before it's scheduled to be over.

On our 14 day transatlantic 4/27/03 there was a Captain's Club party in Cosmos. It was packed! I asked the Social Hostess how many people had received invites: 527 out of 2200 onboard. That's almost a quarter of the passengers.

I think it's important to do something for repeating passengers, so maybe we will begin to see some different parties for the different levels of membership.

Thank you to everyone who responded. That Capt. Club party from 7:30 p.m. between seatings certainly was not the best timing on any day.for the first seating guests. Is Celebrity still holding their Welcome Aboard Captains Party for everyone? Where on Millennium? (I know Princess did away with this and you now have to buy your own drinks, while a Repeaters party is held in a lounge.)

I just returned from Zenith to Bermuda. The rebranding has not found its way to the Zenith yet but still had a welcome aboard drink. The Captains Club party was held outside on the rear deck outside the Cafe which was a first for me as it's usually in the front lounge (Fleet Bar, Cosmos etc.) No repeaters party on this cruise either.

My understanding from Celebrity and cruise critic board is that they stopped the repeater's cocktail! They have recently made the Captain's club free!(so all repeaters have to sign up on the web or by mail). The Captain's club has a party for all level, as well another one for select and elite members!! Plus there is the welcome aboard cocktail!Stephen wrote:

Someone above asked about the Captain's welcome party. On Millennium last month they didn't have one. The Captain did a welcome speech in the Theater for each of the shows.
