I have never requested a table for two because we always request a large table in order to have lots of dinner companions. I do know that on the newer Carnival ships there are a lot more smaller tables than I have seen on other ships. When we were on Carnival Miracle we had a table for two although we didn't even request it. I'd say your chances are pretty good.
