Good afternoon;
Well, yes there was a Starbucks on my way to The Subie dealer Karen. How did you know?
They had told me it would likely be a couple of hours considering that it's about 40 minutes each way I had said that I'd wait. When I got there Maddie said they were short staffed (yes, I told her to hire taller staff) so it may be a tad longer. She already had a 2024 Impreza lined up for me as a complimentary loaner. When I got home we took Ava for a walk around the neighbourhood, I got my 30 minutes in on the treadmill and at 10:30 Maddie called to say Subie was ready. Oh well. So Lu-Ann came back up with me for a drive.
I used to like those 30 - 40 minute shuttles when I covered that position at Wendell's. The down side was that it left the other driver scrambling for a tad over an hour. And vice versa if they got the longer run.
Seems that all of you fine folks won't be spoiled by winning a gazzilion, billion, million dollars. That's OK 'cause I like you all just the way you are.
It is with real sadness that we are reading and seeing the mounting losses due to wildfires in Lahaina. There is a 150 year old Banyan tree in town which I fear may also be a victim of the fires. I can't begin to imagine... Will this effect any of the ports of call on your cruise Nancy?
Good luck at cribbage next week Bill. Hopefully you and Rita will win a little extra "mad money" for your trip to Aruba.
How cool that your congregation streams the service to those who can't attend in person Karen.
Those temps are just a way too hot Pat. On the plus side, take away stays hot on the way from the restaurant to home. Now, you made me think about Kathie and Art vacationing in Manny World. Who will water those beautiful gardens?
What a great segue to toss it over to you to answer that Kathie. Who will be tending your beautiful gardens? I have picked up over 100 spent blooms from the hibiscus this week alone. And it keeps on blooming. We are supposed to get some rain tomorrow which would be a good thing for all the plants and flowers.
Yes, cudos to the fine people of OH for voting the way they did. IT seems of late voter turn out for things is heavier than it used to be. I like to think that people do "get it" and appreciate the importance of voting Dave. If it's as humid there as we are seeing here, don't you be spending too much time outdoors!
Time to get on with whatever the world has planned for me this afternoon.
Be good gang.
