Karen: Thanks for lighting the candle for Rick. I’ll be sure to mention it to and ALL the other best wishes from all of good caring people. You may not know Rick, but it means a lot that you all care! Thanks!!
Art and I went to the Fire Station that had his bike. The bike made just fine in the crash amazingly. The Bike Club supports this small town Fire Station with donations from the clubs treasury. Rick said today from his hospital bed one good deed helps another.
My the way I need to make sure you all know that ART does NOT own a $4000 bike!
Storm update from last night.
WOW AMAZING WIND! Art and I were on our deck watching the storm approach and it came through so fast we just stood there looking at our big Maple tree getting whipped around and suddenly before we had enough sense to go inside a HUGE BRANCH from the neighbors FAMOUS ROT RIDDEN WILLOW tree snapped and went down. BOOM! It was worth the risk of being outside to see it happen!
There were lots of fallen huge Spruce trees fallen and big branches everywhere on our travels today. We were lucky to just fill a leaf bag full of small branches and leaves.
Lee: Glad you didn’t have too much damage. Funny how people don’t listen to weather reports of HIGH WINDS coming and actually put out their trash.
Here’s a few pics of the fallen Willow branches. Enlarge to see better view. The wind was blowing in the right direction to avoid falling on our tall spruce trees right there in front of these fallen limbs. This is the 2nd time this Summer that the wind took out some of the weak limbs on this Huge Willow.
