Good afternoon Wrabbits. Took me long enough to finally post this.   Interruptions!!

I managed to TACKLE my empty cottage cheese & sour cream containers this morning, along with other carry out containers that were haphazardly a mess in the pull-out drawer in the kitchen. Lordy, why do I need 40 plastic containers with some missing lids! Every container now has a LID to match the container. Re-cycling the ones that didn't match up! Actually, a nice feeling.

Lee: Hope your elections work out MUCH better than ours did.

Such a shame that we have to feel bad about going into each other's countries for vacations that help each of our economies. I feel bad for the Mom & Pop type of businesses that will be losing money on EACH SIDE. Having to even think that crossing a border these days from Detroit to Windsor would be subject to refusal is unbelievable.   We've all but had open borders forever. You pull up and answer a few questions show them your passport or license and you're on your way!  Now if either side wants to be nasty you could be directed to "Secondary Inspection" and have the dogs sniff your car out and be detained for no good reason. And this isn't the Canadians doing at all. It's that SOB Frump's doing. The man is so bent on revenge for anything and anybody that "crossed" him in his entire life that he doesn't even realize the fall out of his actions. Talk about an ENTITLED Moron. And yet, he has a following that loves what he's doing. May KARMA hit each and everyone of those people harder than hard. Yes, I'm totally upset and it's driving my nervous system crazy lately. Okay, enough of my ranting about politics. I try my best to control my anger, but it's not easy lately.

Lee........We'll still make a trip out to see you when the weather is warm, sunny and dry. That's if Canada will accept us. I know you and Lu-Ann always will.

Karen: That's really neat that you can take scrap metal to that yard and make a few bucks. Heck, these days that's enough to buy 3 dozen eggs here at Kroger's! Last year you could buy 8-9 dozen eggs for that amount and maybe more if they were on a nice sale. Those days may never come back. Once the price goes up it STAYS UP unfortunately.

At the restaurant last night, the prices on most of their full dinner menu items went up $5 bucks. We don't eat out half as much as we use to because that's the NORM now at most decent restaurants. SAD, but they have to cover their increased costs too.

I must say that the servers are making more on tips because of the total on the bill! We won't get into that subject. Too many new laws being passed regarding TIPs.

How long does it take for you to drive to the Villages from your house?

Glad you got the Marketplace item exchanged to the buyer. You never know if they'll actually show up sometimes!

Mike: I want to tell you that my birthday cake was Chocolate inside and White frosting with flower decorations on the outside. Jill bought it from Meijers and it was better than Kroger's cakes we've had in the past.

Hope you and Fay have a good day and week.  It's COLD & WINDY here again this morning.

38F now. Brrrr.

We have an appointment with the TAX MAN today at 6:30 pm. Good thing it's still light outside that time of the evening!  We have a few questions about Durable Power of Attorney papers to ask him about. Trying so hard to make things as easy as possible for Jill

if we should pass together from an accident or whatever.  Also, need to ask about the Quit Claim deed we have filled out to help avoid probate court. Does it need to get updated? Never thought about any of these things when we were 50 yrs old!  Scary having to think about it now.

The company that fertilizes our lawn just came for the 1st application of the year. Hope the granules can get through the frosty earth! Ha Ha.

I'm wearing the BACK BRACE gizmo while I type on here and it's NICE. It reminds me not to slump over while sitting in front of this big monitor!  I like it. I have it on OVER my sweatshirt.

Best thing I ever did was get this BIG Monitor set up on this desk.  I have never used the LapTop that it's connected to separately in another area. It just sits there connected to the monitor. I do try and unplug the laptop and run down the battery every so often, but I know I'm burning out the laptop by not doing it on a regular basis. OH WELL! Too old to remember all this TECHY stuff.

Have a good day and stay true to yourselves. The rest of the world really doesn't give a crap about little ole us guys!  (I DO THOUGH) :smiley24:

KATHI: If you're reading along, I hope you'll have a good day too. Hope the pups bring you some comfort by having them around. Hope you aren't too overwhelmed with paperwork. Take care! :heartbeat:
