Review of the MS Noordam

The MS Noordam is not a party ship but more an elegant and beautiful classical style cruise ship with a traditional touch .
Professional bands play in different bars and lounges provide the guests with various music from smooth jazz, south American to the 80's with enough space for dancing. In the piano bar is a professional piano player who can play on request music on who everybody can participate by singing, it's every night enjoyable where many guest has a lot of fun. For those who want a more quiet and relax place to drink and talk there is a professional violin quartet play classical music in the Ocean bar. For the teens and others who like disco music, there is also a beautiful disco with dance floor and a real DJ. There is also a real place for teens who like to play all kind of Arcade games. For the real gamblers who like to enjoy the games of casino or just watching how others play the casino is a nice place to stay with a beautiful bar, the slot machines can play from 1 cent up to …. For those who like to visit a show, there are 2 shows every night in the Vista theatre. The waiters are very polite and not obtrusive. The decoration of the ship is a must to see, every day you find everywhere real fresh flowers decorated as an artwork also on your dining table.
The cabins are very clean and provide every day with fresh fruit free of charge (don't forget to fill the little round card in the bucket). In the bathroom of every cabin you will find a set with high quality soap, bath shampoo, body lotion, hair shampoo, hair conditioner of Elemis and the hair drier can be found in the compartment of your cabin. There is a flatscreen TV and DVD player in every cabin and everyday you will be provide with good information on your daily newspaper and TV about the next port of visit, watch and read it contains many useful information with tips and warnings also if you do your own excursion. The cabin stewards are very helpful and polite, made every day an artwork from your towels in a shape of animals.
The Vista restaurant are divided in 2 sections, on deck 3 is for fixed seating and on deck 2 is for open seating. If you have open seating and want a diner at the Vista you can only take your diner on deck 2. The Vista restaurant is a beautiful and high class restaurant where you can take your diner in real style, every dish you order is an artwork and from an excellent consistent quality every day. The service is very professional and outstanding, good organized, polite, helpful and friendly.
The Lido restaurant on deck 9 is a buffet restaurant with a various of food from excellent quality. It has many stations where you can make your own choices, you order they serve and you bring your own dish to your table of choice. You can make your own combination of food by just visit another station, it's good organized and clean with excellent cooks and waiters very polite, helpful and friendly. Ice water, ice tea, different kind of fresh juice, coffee, ice cream are free of charge and can be order the whole day long until deep in the night. The Lido is the whole day open for breakfast, lunch and diner, if you feel hungry in the late night here is the place where you still can take a bite until 01:00 am. But be aware that in the night the Lido will close some stations but not all, just walk around to find out which one is still open.
The Italian restaurant is also on deck 9 in the Lido.
The Pinnacle is a special restaurant which you have to make a reservation and will be charged with $20 p.p. Also the Pinnacle restaurant is a beautiful and high class restaurant where you can take your diner in real style, every dish you order is an artwork and from an excellent consistent quality every day. The service is very professional and outstanding, good organized, polite, helpful and friendly with a special touch.
The food was from such a good quality that when we came home and check on the weight scale I find out that my weight was the same as before although I eat much more then normal at home.
All the crewmembers are very polite, friendly and helpful. The waiters who serve you the drinks are not obtrusive. The crew are very organized and everybody knows they job and always with a nice touch of smile. Keep in mind that this people try everything to make your cruise to a wonderful event so give them sometimes not only a tip but be also friendly to them, a compliment gives always a good feeling and helps to motivate.
