Hello all,

I just noticed an interesting excursion on the Carnival website. Just wondering if anyone has done this excursion yet. It features Gumbalimba Park. In the description it lists interacting with various species of monkeys (even holding them) as part of the attraction. This would be something I may be interested in, but wanted to hear any 1st hand accounts if possible. Thanks in advance!

We did it. The "Pirates" portion was a talk in a fake cave. Now the monkey portion was great. Those monkeys were all over us. The monkeys are in the open and very friendly. Plenty of opportunities for pictures and again, the monkeys are extremely friendly. They would hang on your leg as you walked along and climbed on my wife's shoulder to pick fleas or something from her hair. Birds were in cages but if they were not, they would not have been there. We did not realize it but there was a nice beach, chairs, showers and a place to buy food. We enjoyed it.

Great! It sounds cheesey, but I've always wanted to have an opportunity to interact with monkeys. They are such fascinating creatures!

I really appreciate the input. This excursion is offically on my list of "to do"s :)
